backyard batting cage
Baseball is coming soon and its hard to practice cause I live in New York. So I need to resort to practicing indoors like in my basement or garage. Does anyone know any ideas I could use to improve my pitcing indoors in a very limited area? Thanks!

Put yourself in front of a mirror so that you can see your whole body. practice your motion over and over again until it is locked in. also, you could take a towel, go through your motion, and practice whipping through, snapping the towel on something a few feet away. this is used to maximize you follow through. lifting weights would also improve you velocity, but dont forget to work out your legs too, which are important factors while pitching.

Yes. I am a high school pitcher and live in New York. My coach, however, is a former major leaguer who has his own sports place so that’s what we use. Many do not have that luxury, however. Before he became my coach, I would (like the guy above me said) practice in a mirror to see what i was doing right and wrong. In addition to that, to work on your finish and leg lift is to set up either a mattress or hang an old rug up in your garage. Then, go through your motion with a ball in your hand and work on finishing past your knee. Now for the leg finish, you can set up a bucket close to where you finish and focus on getting your right leg (if you’re a right handed pitcher) over the bucket. I hope this helped.
