backyard batting cage
do you like baseball? would you bring your child or yourself to come to a batting cage, how well in your opinion would it do. selling food and having six cages at a dollar for 15 balls that would be about 2 minutes a round. do you think its a flop or possible potential for a successful business. i know you don't know all the financial angles but your opinion does not hurt. thanks for reading and maybe one day your kid will be there

My thought is it is not a bad idea, as with most things it would be about location, location, location. I also think you could charge more than a dollar per round, but not too much more. The more you offer the more chance to succeed. Video games, food, other fun stuff for kids and even the non-baseball players. Think about softball too. Good luck.

JASON makes a good point but the one i go to is 50 cents for 8 balls. You make the most during basebal/softball season which is SPRING/Summer. Consider closing it for winter or offer someting that can be done during this time..As a softball coach, we take our team there for batting practice so you might focus on this aspect 35 dollars for one hour of non stop batting, on one cage.. I would put it by the local baseball diamonds, so you will be acessible for the teams there…If i lay it out anymore I will have to charge you

no i don’t. but i think it’s a good idea if the people around your business area loves baseball.
remember : build business that what people want , not what you want.

I own a batting cage and pitching machine retail store and it does pretty well year round. I also live about three miles away from a huge gaming facility and the batting cages are constantly busy. I like the idea…and it would be fun.
