5 out of 5 stars Louisville Slugger Blue Flame Pitching Machine   June 30, 2010

I purchased the pitching for my grandson and he loves it. It has helped to improve his batting so much.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic   June 30, 2010
Dave Stange
I took this machine to our sons practice and it was a huge hit. The league has been pitching with a machine that has the electric wheels, needs electricity, and throws the heavy dimpled balls. Everyone who has seen this has fallen in love with it and now the parks and rec department wants to see it and possibly buy 1 or 2. Some comments I've read are about the price but this machine has been more then worth the price. We can pitch all day and it still throws the same. I wish I had this machine with our oldest son. One thing that's noteworthy, is always use the same type of ball to always be consistant. All types of balls will throw strikes however if you mismatch balls such as hard with soft or light and heavy it will be inconsistant. If you throw the same type of ball it's on the mark 99% of the time.
Buy it and you won't regret it.

5 out of 5 stars Worth the wait   June 28, 2010
Spinner (Burlington, VT USA)
It was back ordered but was worth the wait. Throws a consistent pitch every time if set up right. I think that variations are due to ball weight and shape. I can't throw to my eight year old as well as this machine does with its nice flat pitch. The slowest setting is perfect for his ability. I haven't tried speeding it up yet. Next year, I'll suggest that we use it in team practice and games - it's much better than coached pitched batting practice as nearly every ball can be hit. I saw too many kids bailing out after being hit by a pitch once. That won't happen with this machine. I can see a couple of the parts wearing out over time, the plastic support block on the handle part and the triangle throwing arm stop. If you're using it every day for a few hundred pitches, you should probably keep a couple on hand. Replacements are pretty inexpensive at [...]. If you can wait until the off-season, you can get it for $160 here.

5 out of 5 stars Great Little Machine   June 22, 2010
E. VOGT
This thing is a great little machine lightweight, portable, easy to put together. I coach my son's team and this machine is used for parts of their games as well as certain tournaments. It throws a predictable pitch from a low angle (beating coach pitch). Lift up on your foot to control the height of the pitch (or use the macro or micro adjustments). Position the ball as a four-seamer and use the same ball position to get the same pitch. Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Highly recommend Louisville Slugger Pitching Machine   May 19, 2010
T. J. Newell (Arlington Va)
My two boys really enjoy it. They see so many more pitches that they can hit (as Dad is a bit more wild than the machine).

Easy to set up and to use.

PS Wish I had one of these back in the day!
